History of the tower and the property

Robin Hood Tower

Once part of an extensive row of buildings associated with the stone cutting sawmill, the Tower is now a very prominent stand-alone feature on the Eastern bank of the Cromford canal. We have restored it to three floors, a downstairs living room, a well equipped middle floor kitchen and an upstairs bedroom with en-suite bathroom. There is an electric central heating radiator on each floor, while the living room has a stone fireplace and log burner for that perfect cosy feel. We’ve chosen wood effect porcelain tiling for the living room and kitchen floors. These are very attractive in addition to being hygienic, durable, easy to clean and perfect for guests with dogs or muddy boots. In fact, we’re very dog friendly, so there’s a dog/ bicycle/ boot washing facility at the side of the building.
